Welsh Master's 2011 - Dilly

I do not claim copyright of this music full credit goes to the rightful owner's!!!!

Ok so this is dilly at wales last week, classes range from 1m20/1m35
Very pleased as he had to have few week's off prior to this show so didn't think i'd be taking him.
He jumped very well all week just had a 4 faulitus show really but he got into the 1m25 final on the last day which was the entire arena so over the moon there as he jumped super just need's a decent jockey and he'll be away plus the vast majority off people in the final was all pro's so i was slightly star stuck!

No critism please i have really been trying to work on my lower leg & getting him in a more forward rhythm.

Dressage competitions ."Horse Ballet"

Dressage is occasionally referred to as "Horse Ballet". Although the discipline has ancient roots, dressage was first recognized as an important equestrian pursuit in Europe during the Renaissance. The great European riding masters of that period developed a sequential training system that has changed little since then. Classical dressage is still considered the basis of modern dressage.

None of you know how happy this video makes me. I can't put into words how I currently feel about Gizmo. I've been so close to giving up. He is unbelievably stubborn and difficult. However...in the stadium (not show) clips, does he look green or nervous to you? Or does he look like a trained, confident jumper? Go back to the first video I ever posted of gizmo. It does NO justice to how green he was. A year ago? Each time I approached a jump for the first time, I braced myself to fall. Cantering a fence the first time? Out of the question. Trotting, he stopped every time. Now, every course we do is cantering. Nerves? None. Approaching a fence, I don't worry about him stopping. I just count the strides and move with him. Man, does he have an amazing jump. It's just perfect.
I love him, so much. I love how he plays so much with his tail. I love how he's the fastest horse/pony at my barn. I love how he doesn't even have to try over a 2'6 high, 18" wide jump. I'm SO proud of him. I cannot express the immense pride Ihave. I've put so much work into him. Seeing it pay off? It is an UNREAL feeling. Like he's worth something. And after him, I have no plan. I have no horse. Everything I'm working towards is October, because after that? He's done.
"Let it go. . .Let your troubles fall behind you. Let it shine."
Your horse will drive you crazy. Your horse will push you, make you want to walk away and not come back. And then one day, you'll get something perfect.
"The hardest part is over."
During the winter, riding was miserable for me. On Sunday I realized he is going to learn. He framed. He listened. He's never done so well before. Maybe, after all the pain I have been through, we really can do this.
"It's the heart that really matters in the end."
Don't give up. No matter how hopeless your situation seems. You have no idea how much I "should" have given up! But I stick to commitments. It's not easy for me to give up. it's not something I'm willing to do. And now look how unbelievably happy I am! because I EARNED this amazing jumper.
"Our lives are made, in these small hours. These little wonders, these twists and turns of fate."
What if Gizmo had never been abandoned in Vermont? What if my trainer had not seen something special in Gizmo? What if she hadn't convinced my barn owner to keep him? Chance moments. And believe me, Gizmo was the LAST thing I expected to take on. I never even saw that type of thing as an option. Honestly, he changed my perspective about SO much. And yes, we got refusals in stadium. You know what? It happens. That's life. I'm grateful for everything. All of it has taught me something.
I love you, Gizmo. NOTHING will change that.

For those of you who care. I went to a GPC Elementary 2-phase w/ XC schooling this past Sunday. Most of these clips are from that. bitchesinbreeches, Sarah, came up and video-d. Gizmo was brilliant for dressage for the XC schooling. 12 stadium faults, came away with 2 ribbons; 3rd after dressage and 4th overall.

Teaching Your Horse To Handle A Rope

Horse and Rope - How well does your horse handle a rope on his body, around his legs, on his rump, etc...? Richard shares ideas to help desensitize your horse to a rope - on the ground and when mounted. These concepts are demonstrated with his 2010 Road to the Horse Colt that bucked over two laps in the round pen due to a rope. Yes, Richard made the 8 second ride!

Song: All this time - One Republic
So.. 24th April 2009! It was so amazing day for me! I can't belive even now, that I have her!! My dream has been come true!
We aren't perfect! We have sometimes bad days! Silke is my everything! And I couldn't change her for any of this dressage or jumping horses! She is my love!

MONTY ROBERTS AND RICHARD WINTERS HAVE FUN WESTERN REINING

Richard Winters tests Monty Roberts' theory about the natural approach to rollbacks. The informative video lesson is available to members of Equus Online University. What can a horse learn from a guinea hen? Richard Winters finds out in this video lesson on Monty's Equus Online University at www.MontyRoberts.com/university . This is what students are saying:
"I have spent thousands of dollars over the years for clinics, individual lessons etc. but Equus Online University is truly the best at TEACHING! The camera angles, showing lessons on horses at various levels gives you a real sense of what is being accomplished in the lesson and a real feel for the student to go and try with their horse. This provides the student with a real understanding of what they need to do, what it is supposed to look like and a real feel. Plus a true understanding of what the horse should feel and how best to communicate to the horse what needs to happen. This allows a student to do less fumbling around on their horse producing less frustration. The result is that the student feels more confident and thus the horse can feel more relaxed and confident through the learning process. I just can't say enough about how much this is helping me and my horse Cherokee. Thank you! Thank You!!" Cindy Frusha

Meditation practice with a horse

Total experience of presence with a horse is a wonderful practice.
It can be the real key to the deep connection we are longing for.

This is a clip from one session I did together with my horse, Taktur, in August 2009.
I used tools that I have learned from my teacher Arjuna Ardagh in the Awakening Coaching Training.
First I used theese tools with other people, but I was soon to discover their great potential in the relation to horses.

This kind of practices has been my main preparation for the transition to ride bridle-less riding with my horse. When the deep connection was established, there was no longer any need for the two of us to make any decision alone: The ride became an uninterrupted flow of love and trust between us.

Music: Deva Premal, Om Namo Bagavate

True horsemanship is based on deep connection between the horse and human. Our inner state is reflecting on our horses. To be a good partner and leader for my horse it starts with my autentic self. When I am present and congurent I am ready to expirience the horse potential.

Love is the foundtation.

I Can Hear You- Mia and Harry

Ok, i'm gonna do another one LIKE this but to a differen song, it'll be my introduction video. So if there are any new subbers they'll know what i do!

Yeah so you may have noticed by now that most of this is....BAREBACK! I know! Ok well i've never really had the confidence to do this! Harry was an ANGEL! I was rainning whalst i did this!

Yeah i know my posision is COMPLETELY WRONG but hey! Firs time bareback cantering on Harry and in the FIELD! The riding school was niosey and he was spookin a EVERYTHING, so i took my chances. At times it's only wiv a neck rope (i was being a daredevil) and yes he enjoys it more, but i wasn't confident enough! PLUS he doesn't maintain gait very well!

I've only fully kited up because my grandad has passed a new rule!:
IF I SEE YOU RIDING WITHOUT A HA OR BACK PROTECOR THEN WE GE RID OF THE HORSE!

So i think you guessed it!

He was so rusting in me that day and it was the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
He's different to Posy and harder to work with (lef-brain Introvert/ Extrovert)

He is a 'kick along pony' but i'd rather that! I don't kick him ONCE in this! I think trot, i tense my core, i ense my upper leg and by then he trots!

MY WELLIES KEP FALLIN OFF! XD hat why you see my clutching o them!

Old clips in here too!

Whoever has seen the Parelli Natural Horsemanship epidose of Fred part2! Then you'll undersand what i'm about to say!
Fred, had probs getin into a canter, so Linda showed him a technique where you move in the rythm of the canter and your horse follows! THIS IS WHAT I DID AND I WORKS AMAZINGLY!

Casue before i would just flap around askin for canter where as now i just go into he rythm! XD lol

If you read all this THANKS and put 'Haz Bo' in your coomment!

Plus if you see any missing T's then tha's because my keyboard is breakin!

Hybrid Horsemanship (The water trap)

Sooner or later your gonna have to deal with it.

Because of the level of experience needed "Hybrid Horsemanship" techniques are specifically aimed at trainers and not for the average or beginner horse person.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
I am a trained, well respected, professional with 20 plus years of experience and even then sometimes I get my butt hurt. My videos are for entertainment purposes only and are not intended for training nor should be replaced for a professional trainer.
Hybrid Horseman, Paul Williamson or Endospink, will not be responsible for any injuries incurred after viewing his videos or web site and trying this at home. ENDO SAYS: RIDE RESPONSIBLY, WHEN YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR HORSES, USE PROTECTIVE GEAR!

P.S., Please stop asking, NO, the TAP does not work on your mother-in-law.

Horsing around in France with Ludovic and Latif

For more information on Parelli Natural Horsemanship, please visit the Parelli website at this link: http://ow.ly/2ugmX

This month, Parelli student Ludovic Fournet of France sends us this playful video of himself "horsing around" with 7-year-old, Alezan Arabian horse, Latif. Ludovic had sent us the video of little Aragorn playing with the big green ball (http://ow.ly/315WV) in September. There's no doubt about it, Ludovic's horses do love to play!

Ludovic bought Latif in 2006 and has used only the Parelli Natural Horsemanship method with him. Latif has performed on an international level, and Ludovic has promised to keep us up-to-date with new videos of him and little Aragorn in the future.

Pony HORSEMANSHIP Scotty & Chico Farewell-Best Friends

This is our beloved welsh pony Chico, who we have had since he was a baby. Scotty and Chico have grown up together building a bond that will never be forgotten.

Scotty requested a day to do whatever he wanted before Chico left for his new home. His first request was to have lunch on him bareback...I couldn't watch as I was busy in the house charging the video camera battery, but apparently Chico wasn't crazy about the crinkling lunch bag when Scotty climbed aboard. By the looks of Scotty's purple and peanut mustache, the lunch had been eaten.

Next, we moved into the ring where Scotty was fooling around without tack. He rode him all over the farm without a saddle or bridle. As each minute passed, he seemed to become braver and more daring. WITHOUT permission, he approached the oxer (3 foot spread)from a trot...It's hard to see exactly where he's going when you're taping. Looking back, I suppose his fetal posture should have indicated that he was up to something. I thought of removing it from the video, because it seemed to interrupt the flow...(somewhat of a hiccup to the beauty of the duo) But taking chances together is precisely what Chico and Scotty were all about. Sometimes things didn't go exactly to plan. (life can be that way)

But most of the time, the team took my breath away and warmed my heart. Scotty and Chico's beach gallop, March 3, 2007, was Scotty's final request.

He swears "no hands" was Chico's idea.

Regardless, the pair had yet another day together they'll never forget. Scotty and Chico shared such a special life together, constantly learning about themselves and each other. (nothing short of every mother's dream)

"Everything I ever needed to know, I learned from my pony (Chico)"

Tarah - I'm Alive [Rest In Peace]

As some of you know, Tarah passed away on Tuesday. Those of you who don't know this will come as a shock. I think I am still in shock myself. Please don't comment asking what happened though if you wish to know here is the link to a blog I wrote about it: http://www.facebook.com/notes/charlie-fitzgerald/tarah/1968137571097

For those of you who don't know about Tarah, her story or her accomplishments please check out these links.

And lastly, Tarah's Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tarah-The-Shetland/151287408849?ref=ts
Tarah was my best friend, my rock, my teacher, my pupil and my muse. She may be 'just a Shetland Pony', but she had a heart bigger then most horses and a soul that glowed for all to see. Her love of life and her story inspired and touched many people from every corner of the globe.

This video I don't really feel does her enough justice. I chose the song because I want her to be remember as that pony who survived and lived to flaunt it. I want her life and her accomplishments to be celebrated, not just now but for years to come. So please, if any of you wish to make your own videos, see any clips, or anything like that just ask.
Thank each and every one of you for all your support since Tarah and I started youtube, it's been quite a journey and one I am happy to say I have thoroughly enjoyed. These 6 years I've had Tarah have been the best of my life, and you guys have been with us every step of the way sharing our triumphs. If it wasn't for Tarah I wouldn't be half the person I am today, or done half the things. From meeting Zara Phillips, to making life long friends. None of it would have happened if it weren't for that little ginger pom pom on legs.
Of her I am grateful, proud and honored to have had her in my life.

Rest in Peace my Tarsie.
The Sky is no Longer the Limit.

If I Had My Own World

I visited Taylor for spring break, which ya'll probably know from her video haha. It was a lot of fun, we went to Disneyworld and when we took the metro train, we kept getting distracted, so we kept missing our stop. I got Taylor to ride a "not really but could somewhat count as a roller coaster", I can't wait for the day she actually gets thrown on a real roller coaster, the day will come Taylor just wait. Then we also rode till our legs were about to fall off and our butts went numb, poor horses. Chanel better be getting her week off!

~Victory and Horsemanship~//Rodeo Queen Pageant

Alrighty, so I ran for rodeo queen in my local gymkhana club. We won't know the results til the 22nd. There were 6 girls running including me. I honestly have no idea who will win. Everybody did a really good job and we all had some minor faults, but for the most part, everybody did extremely well.

Please no critique. I know, I know. My hat fell off, I should've been going faster in the beginning and my second circle was way smaller than my other one It was my first time ever running for rodeo queen so I know I need some room for improvement.

I was pretty proud of my speech. I messed up a few times, but for the most part, it sounded really good! I was talking kind of fast, but that's the way I talk normally so yea haha. I did have music playing behind it on the video but you can't here it, except in some parts.

Ok, sorry this is getting long, but I know a lot of people thought I was going to use Magic. I used Boulder instead because, well, Boulder never gets used anymore! And I feel bad that I havn't ridden him in forever so I'm starting to do more stuff with him, including some rodeoing (breakaway and goats) So you'll definitely be seeing more of him again:)

Well thanks for reading! I'm off on Spring Break Now (woot!) so be expecting some more videos this next week because I've got a lot of riding planned ahead for the next like 5 weekends in a row!

Parelli horsemanship from 'Down Under'!

To learn more about Parelli Natural Horse Training, visit our website here: http://ow.ly/2ugmX

Karen and Paul Lockwood, from Australia, seem to understand that a fundamental part of Friendly Game is building rapport and trust!

Here they tell us about their Parelli experiences:

"We started our Parelli journey in late 1996 when we bought the Seven Games video and Pat's book which one of our ponies had been telling us to buy as he was brilliant at the Parelli Games and we were losing! After learning how to keep us all winning the Parelli Games we have never looked back, only forward in our journey.
We have purchased every piece of learning material available from Parelli ever since & attended a few clinics over the years. Paul is studying at Level 5, Karen is studying at Level 4. Our main focuses are improving our relationships with all our horses, trail riding, cattle mustering & group Parelli playdays.
